We are pleased to announce that we have acquired the services of Brightview Landscape to take over our mowing, edging and trimming work within the Oaks community. That said, we wanted to highlight a few points and reminders to ensure the best quality work is being provided to each home.
SCOPE OF WORK
- All mowing/edging functions will be conducted weekly through the summer/early fall months and each section within the community will be completed in 1 day. Section 2 will be serviced on Wednesdays and Sections 1 & 3 on Thursdays. (weather and certain holidays permitting). Schedules will be posted on the website.
- Hard edging (sidewalks and driveway) will be done with each mowing cycle. Soft edging (around flower and landscape beds) will be done every other mowing cycle.
- Round-up work to control/remove the weeds in the driveways and sidewalks will be done monthly. A schedule of this work will be posted on the website soon.
- Trimming of hedges, trees (up to certain requirements) shrubs, and bushes and the removal of weeds in the flower and landscape beds will be completed monthly. A schedule of this work will be posted on the website soon.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- Removal all hoses, toys, bikes, lawn chairs, etc. from your grass areas on your designated mowing day is the responsibility of each homeowner. Failure to remove these items will result for the grass in these areas to be skipped until the next mowing cycle. Be advised that Brightview Landscape crew members are instructed to mow around these obstacles, and NOT to move them out of the way. Be mindful that damage could (unintentionally) occur to smaller items hidden by tall grass (e.g. hoses) if not removed from these areas in a timely fashion.
- All landscape lighting, statues, etc. should be removed from the grassy areas or stationed well into the landscape beds to avoid any potential damage that could occur to these items.
- Check to ensure your sprinkler heads are retracted and report any heads that need repair to FSR via the website.
- To ensure all lawn areas our mowed correctly and efficiently, please do not park on the grass areas at any time.
- Brightview is a full service landscaping company that can be hired for any additional landscape project on your lot. Residents can acquire a quote for any landscape project by submitting a request through The Oaks Website. Please note that additional landscape work completed will most likely require ARC approval. Please ensure you submit the proper paperwork prior to the commencement of any major outdoor project.
